OBJECTIVES
The Objectives is to reduce risk of exposure to and spread of the HIV Virus in
the area of road constructions. The target group will be local labors and their
supervisors employed by the works contractor and the associated community will
benefit through their normal day to day interaction with the target groups.

SCOPE ACTIVITIES
Activities for HIV / AIDS awareness prevention and training will be broad based
targeting, both individual and groups

OUTPUT 1: Expansion of work place interventions with special attention for

construction workers and other mobile population along Road construction project
LOT:1. RUANGWA – NANGANGA ROAD SECTION 52 KM

Strategy 1: Capacity building on safer sexual behavior among general population,

company workers, through peer education, community mobilization and culturally
sensitive information education and communication sports.

Strategy 2: Improve person protection by Promotion events such as Condom

and supply to the outlets, provision of IEC materials, billboard, T-shirts, caps and
fliers with HIV/ AIDS messages.
