The importance of studying consumer buying behavior are you can understand the behavior of your
consumer that helps you to fill the gap in your market or in your products your weaknesses and
strengths can also reveal, you can identify their need and wants.

Also helps the marketers design their product packaging or how they present it to the customers that
generates large scale of consumer and attract the buyer.

Understanding consumer buying behaviour can help your business to increase the engagement in the
buyer that eventually turn into customer.

2. Discuss the different factors influencing consumer buying behavior.

Psychological is one of factors influencing consumer buying behavior. The consumer thinking how the
products affect his/her life and thinking between pleasure, wants and needs that depends on their
attitude nd perception in a product.

Social factors is about what is in demand or trending they can buy it ahead of time and influence of
friends, family, or relatives most of this is wants or for their pleasures.

Economic factors is about what they need in everyday life and most of this is align in the economic

Packaging because most of the customers look for good and elegant packaging that I can add in model
buying behavior, next is Planet or eco friendly product because we are all know that we are in global
warming the only thing that we can help to our mother earth is the use of eco friendly product that they
can recycle if the product reach his limit, next is People and product capacity most of us are ordering in
online because of pandemic we face today the online markert is bloom and many of us use application
like Lazada and Shoppe to avoid covid and helps other people to have a work like courrier and delivery
rider.

4. Enumerate and discuss the stages in consumer decision making process.

There are 5 steps in consumer decision making process

Step 1 – Need is the most important factor which leads to buying of products and services. Need in fact
is the catalyst which triggers the buying decision of individuals.

Step 2 – When an individual recognizes his need for a particular product/service he tries to gather as
much information as he can.

Step 3 – The next step is to evaluate the various alternatives available in the market. An individual after
gathering relevant information tries to choose the best option available as per his need, taste and
pocket.

Step 4 – After going through all the above stages, customer finally purchases the product.
Step 5 – The purchase of the product is followed by post purchase evaluation. Post purchase evaluation
refers to a customer’s analysis whether the product was useful to him or not, whether the product
fulfilled his need or not.

In step 1 the consumer is looking for his need step 2 then if he think what he going to buy he gather data
and information about his need then in step 3 he look for alternative product that support his needs and
looking for other options then step 4 that he buy the products and last step 5 is about customers
satisfaction it’s either he reach his expectations or he disappoint to the products.

kids. How will persuade adults to buy the product for their kids?

The UFC banana Ketchup is set value proposition for kids and set their target market is parents because
parents is the buyer or customer then their kids is the consumer. They persuade adults or parents in the
way that the kids benefits to gain appetite when they eat in morning so using ketchup they can bring
appetite for kids or energy to eat breakfast and to attract more kids consumer they release different
color of ketchup to make mealtime more fun and colorful for kids.

6. What would you consider as the major problems of marketing men when marketing in the
Philippines? With Filipino consumers?

The major problems of marketing men when marketing in the Philippines are

The Filipino consumers are very cheap, many Filipino families chose unknown brand of products because
its cheap and they afford to buy
Another thing is about the affordability status of consumer they we as Filipino we are always looking for
low cost but high quality
