1 INTRODUCTION / INTRODUCCIÓN

Last year I went to Cuzco. It was the first time I visited that fascinating city. My friends were there
in 2019. They told me a lot of great things about it, so I decided to take a plane to Cuzco and make
a report about it for my English class. I was there just for five days. I stayed at a terrific hotel. The
service was good. The typical food was delicious. The weather wasn’t good the first two days, but
the rest of them were warm. The third day in Cuzco, I had the opportunity to visit two
archaeological places: Sacsayhuaman and Machu Picchu. I loved Sacsayhuaman, but my tour to
Machu Picchu was so exciting too! The fourth day, I took a tour to Koricancha. This Inca temple
was destroyed by the Spanish before they built the Church of Santo Domingo. The Museum of
Contemporary Art was interesting. There are exhibitions of contemporary art. Also, I went to San
Pedro market. It is located further away from the Main Square, but the food prices were
inexpensive. In the evening, I went to some clubs.
The prices weren’t expensive. There were many
tourists and local people. All of them were
friendly. The drinks were exquisite. My last day in
Cuzco was quiet because I was a little bit sick. I had the opportunity to
However, I bought some souvenirs like sweaters, visit two archaeological
ponchos, and scarves. I took a lot of pictures of places: Sacsayhuaman
the places I visited and I recorded everything for and Machu Picchu.
my report. When my professor read my project,
she wanted to learn more about this amazing and
majestic city of Peru. It is a must-see.
