FELLVIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL

STRATEGIC PLAN FOR 2020 - 2023

SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2020 – 2021

We have updated our plan considering the views of Ofsted, staff and governors. Due
to the Covid-19 Pandemic parents and pupil views will be collected in Autumn term
2020. The feedback forms part of our self-review and feeds directly into our
development plans supporting our journey to excellence as we continue to develop an
outstanding learning centre and experiences for all our pupils.
DIVERSITY INITIATIVE

THE STAFF AND GOVERNORS WILL WORK TOGETHER TO ENSURE ALL CHILDREN LEAVE FELLVIEW AS CONFIDENT LIFELONG LEARNERS AND RESPECTFUL
CITIZENS

TO MEET THIS PROMISE, WE WILL CREATE A HAPPY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WHERE:

Children enjoy collaborating with other children and adults on projects and activities that enhance their understanding of community and environment.

They feel confident to critically analyse the amazing and diverse world we live in; Caring for others and able to see things from other view points

Children are independent thinkers who are resilient and curious to learn, being aware of the impact of their interaction with, and responsibility for, the immediate and wider
environment

We offer all pupils equality of opportunity; to reflect and value cultural diversity and use it to enrich children's experience and understanding; to help recognise and counter
discrimination and prejudice of all kinds.

We will achieve this by:

• Setting high standards and goals for all

• Ensuring pupils take responsibility for their own learning
• Using a variety of effective and inspiring teaching strategies and effective feedback
• Providing excellent learning opportunities
• Having clear and consistent shared expectations of all
• Working in close partnership with parents, carers and community
• Sharing and celebrating the successes of everyone in our school community
• Developing an increasingly differentiated and distinctive learning environment

In an environment which is:

• Safe and nurturing

• Fun, exciting and purposeful
• Trusting respectful and inclusive
• Appropriately resourced and organised
• Accessible by the whole school and wider community
