My teacher who influenced me to love and find love in English is my literature professor in college.

She
taught me that English is not an ordinary subject. But there is something grandeur and extravagant in
English as a subject and that is touching the lives and let the subject influence their perception in life.
Through extracting the meaning behind in poetry and stories, it is possible that we are not only
educating their mind in finding grammatical functions and structure of each sentences and word. But
also through this we can also educate their hearts to become more rational on how they view people
and situations about life aspects. That is how I envisioned my life as an educator.

I stand for the truth that we are born with different skills and intelligences that’s how Gardner believes. I
can say, that those intelligences I am an intrapersonal. I am more talkative online not offline. I can get
high grades in written than oral. That’s why I became a coach for campus journalism in my school where
I teach for a year. For I can empathize with the students who use a pen and paper as a scapegoat to who
they really and what they want to be as a person. I believe that this kind of work is suited for me
because I can express myself more in writing as they can only judge my text not myself. It will also ease
my worries of teaching for I can think first if there’s an error before posting it rather than saying it which
is more advantageous.

Everyone will agree that this platform is not only convenient for those students who are hunger for new
learning and wants to keep learning. Furthermore, there are students who really excel nowadays
because of this platform most especially in this time of pandemic. I have this tutee who’s really an
intrapersonal. According to her parent, during face to face classes, she doesn’t get along with her
classmates because of language barrier. Her classmates speak Filipino and she was trained to speak in
English at home. Now, that video conferencing is the platform we use to educate students. My tutee
excels in class. I believe that it is because she has given a chance to speak without hesitation since they
are in the same place with her classmates and teacher. And sometimes, she keeps on talking that she
taught that her microphone is off which makes her teacher and classmate listen to her and started
conversing. It makes me think that this situation gives a blessing in disguise for her to spread her wings
and take herself out from her comfort zone which as her tutor I am very proud and thankful.
