INTRODUCTION
As requested, I am writing the following report on the research our class group conducted to find out
how food production impacts our environment. This report highlights the most eye-opening facts we
found as well as explains what we intend to do with the help of our research outcomes.
KEY FINDING
The findings were quite a bit unprecedented from what we had expected. Nearly everyone was
appalled to learn that the current food production methods not only affect the atmosphere in the
production phase, but they also destroy the nature throughout the entire process, from initial crop
growth to final food production.
Everyone was saddened after finding that enormous forests are cleared to use for agriculture. As a
result, thousands of wildlife species lose their habitat, eventually leading to extinction. Moreover, it
was pitiful to find that burning of forests has other consequences as well. It certainly increases the
amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, resulting in global warming. Besides, it is believed that
eighty percent of animals sheltering in forests will die if the contemporary agricultural practice is
anything to continue.
WHAT TO BE DONE
Taking into account the effects of food production, I firmly believe it is high time we organised
awareness programmes. It would surely edify the public as our nature is now in tatters due to our
recklessness. Moreover, I believe we should pressurise our governments to take action against tree
fellers and those who burn forests to prevent further destruction to our environment.
