WHAT WILL THE WORLD

BE LIKE IN THE FUTURE?
BILYK MARIA
THE OCEANS WILL BE WIDELY USED IN
AGRICULTURE, AND NOT JUST THROUGH FISH

• The planet will have to feed

ten billion people, and
nature will not be able to
meet such demand. Thus,
humanity will increase fish
farming in the seas and
oceans. In addition,
seaweed farming, perhaps
even animal feed, will
increase, and genetically
modified varieties are likely
to be used to make biofuels.
PEOPLE WILL BE CONNECTED TO COMPUTERS TO
MAKE THE BRAIN WORK FASTER

• For many people, this

will be possible in 2050.
By 2075, most people in
developed countries
will use computers to
improve brain function,
and by the end of the
century, almost
everyone will use this
technology. Because it
will only take someone
to start doing it, the rest
will pick up to make a
decent competition.
PEOPLE WILL COMMUNICATE THROUGH
THE TRANSMISSION OF THOUGHTS

• Due to the
improvement of
some functions of the
brain, the transmission
of thoughts will
become quite real. It
will be as easy to
"read" thoughts and
pass them on to
another person as,
say, to post them on
the Internet.
MANKIND WILL SUCCEED IN NUCLEAR
FUSION
• This could happen
somewhere in 2045-2050,
and with one hundred
percent probability will
happen by 2100. Control of
fusion processes is one of
the most common
predictions for the near
future. The significance of
this discovery will depend
on what other energy
technologies humanity will
have. Other energy sources
of the future include shale
gas and solar energy. But
the widespread use of wind
energy is unlikely.
THE WORLD WILL INTRODUCE A
SINGLE CURRENCY
• The probability of this is quite
high. We already use e-
currency in all parts of the
world, and this trend will
continue. It is likely that by
the middle of this century,
several regional currencies
will already exist, and a
single electronic currency
will be recognized
worldwide. This means that
other currencies will
gradually fade into the
background, leaving only
one currency at the end of
the century.
80% OF COUNTRIES RECOGNIZE SAME-
SEX MARRIAGES
• For Western countries, this
seems inevitable, which
probably means that different
types of marriages will soon be
allowed around the world.
Some regions of the world will,
of course, resist because of the
strong influence of the religious
factor, so it is impossible to say
with absolute certainty that this
is exactly what will happen. The
key factor in this issue will be life
expectancy: for example, if
people get married at the age
of 20 and live for more than a
hundred years, it is as long as
marriage. Maybe someone
wants to get married
temporarily.
WE WILL BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE
WEATHER
• Already today, technology
allows us, for example, to
control tornadoes, to cause
rain, and because of the
general concern about
climate change, humanity
has already gathered a lot
of knowledge about how
the weather works. It is likely
that very soon humanity will
have the technology to
control the weather at will. It
is likely to be expensive for
everyday use, rather likely to
be used to avoid serious
damage from natural
disasters in key regions.
CALIFORNIA WILL SPLIT THE UNITED
STATES
• Today, there are signs that
California wants to secede
from the United States, and
that sentiment is growing over
time. Most likely, this may
happen before the end of the
century. Perhaps a number of
states on the east coast of the
country will also want to
become independent. Such
sentiments are explained by
the existence of huge
differences in the wealth of the
population, respectively,
people do not want to keep
others, if this can be avoided.
THE RISKS OF GLOBAL WAR WILL
REMAIN HIGH
• Geopolitical tensions will
increase due to
demographic factors. The
population is growing,
and although food is
growing, the unequal
distribution of resources in
the world will cause
conflicts and threaten
World War III. Potential
locations for military
conflicts: the Middle East,
the Red Sea, the Persian
Gulf, Palestine, Turkey,
Russia.
LIFE EXPECTANCY WILL INCREASE
• Deciphering the genetic
code will help to detect
and prevent disease
prematurely. Sensors that
can be implanted will
appear. They will monitor
the person's health and
provide information to the
therapist. Medicines will be
individual, with delivery
"exactly on purpose". Gene
therapy will be an
alternative to prosthetics
and surgery, for example,
during joint replacement.
The use of pacemakers will
increase dramatically.
