RATIONALE

Barangay Dajay is one of the active Barangay in Surallah and

have great progress among 17 Barangays. This Barangay was founded on

June 22, 1963. Barangay Dajay have 12 Sitio’s: Maliwanag, Maligaya,

Curva, Mainuswagun, Mabini, Rosas, Mangga, Bagong Silang, Demacali,

Masinadya, Pag asa and Magsaysay that has 11,298 population that was

determined in 2021 census.

Sari-Sari Stores, Mini-marts, Fish Shop, Meat Shop, Drug Stores

and Vegetable stalls are commonly small business that situated in every

Sitio or Purok. Sari-Sari stores are the most popular in every individual

wherein they can buy everything especially their day-to-day needs. Mini-

Marts, Fish Shop, Meat Shop, Drug Stores and Vegetable stalls are

secondary option or choices of every individual that depends upon the

needs of the consumers.

Retail Stores is a place of business usually owned and operated by

a retailer but sometimes owned and operated by a manufacturer or by

someone other than a retailer in which merchandise is sold primarily to

ultimate consumers.

Presently, Barangay Dajay has recorded of 54 registered stores

namely: 38 Sari-Sari Stores, 4 Mini-marts, 3 Fish Shops, 5 Meat Shops,

2 Drug Stores and 2 Vegetable stalls.
