There are contributing stressors of mental health in the Generation Z,
including social relations, academic performance, family and peer pressure,
violence, economic crises, even politics. This generation may experience acute
emotions of isolation and loneliness as a result of growing up in a hyper-connected
environment. It can also foster a constant barrage of bad news reports, a fear of
losing out, and humiliation at falling short of a social media-worthy norm. Conversely,
high levels of mental health have been linked to higher learning, creativity, and
productivity, as well as more pro-social behavior and positive social interactions, as
well as enhanced physical health and life expectancy. The significance of education
to our society is dealt accordingly to relevant studies that improve the system to its
very foundation. Today, the modern generation of students are the ones who are
most strongly affected. School days have been focused on exam preparation,
producing an environment that encourages memorization rather than critical thinking
and skills-development. The students as a population, magnifies the topic about
mental health in light of performances, where recognitions are based from. An
individual's support system begins with their Family. Their first-hand experience to
every milestone is greatly influenced by their familial traces. Afraid to fail, as they are
pressured to always excel in everything because of high expectations. The stigma
around victims of unaccepted behaviors or violence in a wider scale, is evident
among today's society. Economic crisis increases rate of unemployment, financial
insecurity and decreasing welfare support. Particularly for generation Zs from low-
income families, it's a tale of stress shifting for youth in terms of its causes, as well
as stress disparities. They are well-recognized in voicing out their opinions about
politics, that they have the courage to speak up when no one else could, stirring up
and causing tension.

The review of related literature is centered to the research topic, Mental

Health Among Generation Z. As we all know, the emergence of struggling
adolescents, teenagers, even adults, coincide with the increasing number of clients
seeking for mental health support. The researches provided in this activity are works
in need of improvement and several gaps were identified, which is normal for a
research study. The gaps identified in the related literatures presented in this
research topic are the following. Limitations in gathering research subjects or
participants, that ensures non-biased responses. The data collection in limited
participants can possibly permit incomplete data for the research study. The
responses directed toward the mental Health of the desired population is insufficient
to the overall population. In detail, the number of recruited participants cannot rule in
the entire population for the research study. Controlling the population, considering
the scale, is a restraint to the overall response of the whole population. Another
issue found in one of the related literature, is affected data analysis. Because of the
methods provided during the data collection. The particular research study is
conducted through online, several rejected responses were collected, therefore
affecting the data process or data interpretation. The resources and limitations
during the data collection, notably restrictions during the Pandemic, caused
discrepancies, hence the affected data analysis. Reinforcing the research framework
to develop a standard guide for the research study is also a solution to another
gap/issue found in the related literatures of the topic, Mental Health. Research
studies are open to further discussions and improvements. This framework serves as
a guide in implementing the steps taken throughout the research. Enhancing the
research framework of the study, benefits the progression of the data collection,
resulting to a better flow of the data gathering and interpreting the provided data.
Mental Health as a research topic needs a continuous process, it takes several
months to initially complete one research study, some even takes years to fully
publish a research about Mental Health of a specific population.

Reviewing an existing study from a certain year, of a particular topic, is a

niche in research. In order to complete a pending topic, one must review the entirety
of the previous work. The significance of investigating a research topic is to find gaps
or issues present in the research study. From collecting the data to interpreting the
findings, future studies are benefited. This is an important endeavor to future
researchers, establishing a baseline for a new or existing knowledge. Scrutinizing
studies prior to the recent work also helps strengthen the existing one. The accuracy
is tested and discussing the work after years of completion ensures stability of the
study. The investigation of a specific topic enables a guide to clear points and
compare the previous to the recent works. This determines the credibility of the
findings. Exploring the work means it is relevant to the chosen topic.
