HSE Policy Requirements (Client’s perspective)

Management of Contractor must demonstrate a committed to the continual improvement of the HSE Management
System according to legal and other requirements, by providing healthy working conditions, consultation and
participation of workers and their representatives. Considering the purpose and context of the organization, and the
condition of the environment in which the Contractor operates, the management of the Contractor must demonstrate
a commitment to continual improvement of the HSE Management System, according to compliance obligations, by
following the principles and requirements of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 Standard.

The Contractor must consider the following, when drafting or developing an HSE Policy (but not limited to the listed);

• Continual education to prevent environmental pollution, preserve natural resources, and improve the HSE
Management System

• Continual raising of HSE awareness

• Continual legal compliance in line with HSE

• Activities that emerge from the context of the organization

• Prevent pollution risks

• Protect the Environment in all aspects of our business and in particular to significant aspects of our
operations, to prevent any adverse environmental effects

• Recycle / reuse materials wherever practical

• Minimize the environmental impact, for the life cycle (including disposal) of all plant, equipment, and other
physical assets under our control.

• Comply with legislation regulations & relevant Codes of Practice, at all times (our compliance obligations)

• Minimize OHS incidents

The contractor must approve the policy by a Senior Manager, or owner of the business. The policy must be available
for all interested parties and public.

Contractor to refer to the ISO 45001 and 14001 Element 5.
