PROGRAM OF INSTRUCTION

Title: Leadership Development Course


Proponent: Bureau of Fire Protection – Regional Office 1
Rationale: This course is designed primarily to provide law enforcers of the
BFP, BJMP and PNP with knowledge, attitudes, skills, habits, and
values to enhance their competence and prepare them to assume
their duties and responsibilities within their respective
organizations.
It is a 5-day course (40 training hours) focused on Becoming an
Effective Law Enforcement Managers, Ethics for the Leaders,
Modern Supervision, Cultural Awareness and Sensitivity,
Communicating Effectively, Media Management, Life Skills,
Building Effective Teams, and Completed Staff Work.
Instructors of this course are composed of distinguished and
accomplished professionals from the law enforcement agencies
and other government and even private agencies who will be
invited to share their leadership skills, wisdom, and indubitable
experience of public service.
Objectives: After the completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
1. Apply theories and concepts in managing their respective units
with sense of responsibility and pastoral wisdom;
2. Enrich their intellectual capacity, emotional state and state of
the art leadership and management potentials in the attainment
of the organizational goal, productivity, efficiency, and
effectivity of their units;
3. Analyze situations, issues, and concerns that affect the
performance of their duties and responsibilities; and
4. Improve their psycho-social well-being through various
programs that are incorporated in the daily activities on their
respective units.
Expected Outputs: The participants will be able to realize, reflect and apply all the
insights that they will learn from this course. Noteworthy, they will
be able to strengthen and develop their leadership skills.
