COURSE DESCRIPTION

Human development and human resource development, Dimensions and targets of


development, Understanding group Behaviour, Emotional facet, Human development index,
relations and performance, Diversity in personality, learning and perception, Attitudes, self-
concept and values, Communication (verbal and non-verbal), motivation ,Leadership,
Transactional Analysis, Personal development, Teams and creative problem solving, Team
dynamics, Global diversity, HRD history & background, Human resources & economic
development, Sectors of society, Education as target of HRD, Environment, HDI and gender
sensitivity, Entrepreneurship, Pubic private partnership, Good Governance, Using non-

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY:
I see the opportunity of application of the concepts delivered during lecture as vitally
important for learning. It will be my job to provide you with the theory with application
oriented assignments. I assure you that with your active participation in class and
assignments, you would be able to develop your management skill set along enjoying the
subject.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

1. Grades: Letter grades will be assigned based on the university’s standard


grading scale.
2. Assignments: In fairness to students who complete assignments on time, late
assignments will not be accepted. You must turn in the assigments at the end
of the lecture on the day they are due.
3. Attendance: Regular classroom attendance is mandatory. Absence from
lectures will negatively affect your grade as per university rules.
4. Minimising disruptions: All cell phones should be turned off during class. Do
not involve in side conversations.
5. Being prepared for class: you should be ready to discuss any assigned
readings and to answer any assigned questions for each day’s class, including
being ready to open a case assigned for that day.

Academic dishonesty is an offence that will not be tolerated in any form. Any student who is
involved in any such activity will be penalised to the fullest extent possible allowed by
university regulations. If you have any doubts about whether an action constitutes academic
