At the end of this module, you are expected t0:
1. Examine Different Art Periods
2. Identify characteristics of these art periods
3. Give example of art work of these eras

History of Art
Art History predates almost 27,000 year ago. In this module we will look at
the timeline of Art and its evolution to current art setting. We will examine
different periods of arts, it’s characteristics of that time period, sample art
works during the said periods.

1. Stone Age (about 30,000-2,00 BC)


> is often reflective in carvings/cave paintings, this is also evident in huge
stone structures

architectural designs

> characterized by the realistic form of the Romans focused on
architecture that reflects curves and lines

> characterized by a tranquil and peaceful nature of arts
