1. Pattern
> characterized by repetitive movements of art elements
2. Harmony
>the combination of similar features of art to highlight these features that is attained by repeating the
elements or have subtle steady changes.
3. Balance
>refers to the stable nature of an artwork which may imply the heaviness or lightness of an art work
Types of Balance
a. Symmetrical/Equal
> two similar images which can be identical or mirrored to reflect balance

b. Asymmetrical/Irregular
> two different images which has different elements but are arranged in a way that it still reflects balance
c. Radial
>a central point is created and art elements are distributed around the central point to produce/reflect a
balanced image.
3. Rhythm
>refers to the fluid movement achieved by repeating similar elements in an art work
4. Composition
> the organization and arrangement of the elements of an artwork as it appears visually
4. Direction/ Movement
> artwork element that denotes movement or direction
5. Variety
Course Module
> refers to the range or divergence of an artwork which is attained by using varied shapes, colors, hues
and sizes in an artwork
6. Emphasis
>prominence of an artwork that is achieved by highlighting the differences of art elements
7. Proportion/Scale
>an art principle that pertains to the relationship and connection of the elements of art in an art work
8. Gradation
>an art principle that pertains to the steady but subtle changes in art elements
9. Contrast
>highlights the difference or distinction of the elements of art
