*Importance of etiquettes and safety in dancing*

Before we begin, let us have a quick reminder of the dance etiquettes and safety protocols to
make sure that our Zumba session goes smoothly and safely.
Etiquette is important everywhere, but especially in dancing where social interaction is sure to
happen. These dance etiquettes are a set of rules that will help us keep the proper behavior and
attitude while dancing, and to enjoy our activity to the fullest.

*Presenting the etiquettes*

1. Listen to your dance instructor
* ipakita diri ng ga nod ang student, kay way ni siya of showing nga gapamati ka and gafollow sa
instructor, tapos naga perform kuno sang basic steps or what (need dalawa ka demonstrators diri,
ang isa daw gawakal nga instructor, then gatudlo basic steps or ga warm-up, then ang isa
gapamati saiya, tapos ginaperform mant tung ginaubra sang instructor, ang pag edit na bahala
pano ishow nga daw sa isa lang sila ka place) *
~ Listening is an important part of dancing; it shows respect for the dance teacher and your
fellow dancers. A person can understand the crucial elements presented before, during, and after
dancing by doing so. Every dancer can concentrate on doing the various movements given by the
instructor as a means of expressing gratitude for the dance teacher's creativity and expertise.
2. Remove any jewelry or accessories that aren't absolutely necessary.
*Gapakita lang nga gatanggal sang any kind of jewelry or accessories (basically mga
unnecessary stuffs nga nakakabit sa lawas mo) *
~ While training or performing a dance routine, wearing excess jewelry or accessories might
cause injury not only to yourself but also to others. If it is not required for the completion of the
dance routine, make sure to remove it because it will simply serve as an obstacle to performing
well and safely.
3. Don’t use your phone if not needed
*ipakita lang nga sang una gaphone phone tapos gisulod niya sa bag kag gin silent mode or
vibrate mode*
~ Making sure you're not on your phone during a dance practice or performance shows your
fellow dancers that you're passionate about the dance. It's also a good strategy to avoid being
distracted when learning the choreography or routines.
4. Demonstrate a strong sense of spatial awareness
* Kunware mga gaspacing spacing*
~ Allowing enough space for everyone will aid in the appropriate execution of the steps by all of
the dancers. It will also allow the instructor to keep track of everyone's progress and recognize
who needs help with a particular routine's technique.
Next are the safety protocols to be demonstrated by the dance instructor. Dancing is a great way
to be physically active, but the range, repetition and speed of body movements when dancing can
put you at risk of injury. So, it’s a good thing we have the basic safety protocols to help us
reduce that risk and allowing us to perform well without compromising our safety and health.
1. Wear proper dance attire
*mag action na gawear ng shoes ganon, ginapakita ang attire basically sabay sa anong
ginamention sa voiceover
~ Wearing the appropriate dance attire is not just essential for looking presentable, but also for
safety. Different clothes fit different kinds of dances. In the case of Zumba, comfortable fitness
clothes are the way to go because we want to be able to move easily. Using the proper shoes
when dancing is also crucial in avoiding injuries. The right shoes should provide comfort and
minimize the impact on your feet.
2. Perform warm up and cool down exercises
*show ng iba ibang warm up and cool down exercise tas stretching n stuff, kayo na bahala ano
bet niyo*
~ Incorporating a warm-up into your routine will help condition your body and mind before
dancing. It is a great way to decrease the risk of injury as it helps loosen the joints and raise your
heartbeat for blood circulation. Cooling down, then, helps gradually reduce the heart rate to the
normal level at a safe pace and speeds up recovery time.
