Want to help ??
I am always looking for volunteers and
parents to help out in the classroom. We
have many exciting projects and activities
going on throughout the year that your
help would be greatly appreciated! If you
are interested or have a special skill you
want to share in the classroom please let
me know. If you want to contribute but
don’t have time during the day, there are
always ways to help outside of school. I am
more than willing to work with every situa-

Community
It is my goal as teacher to help foster a
safe and positive learning community.
When the students are comfortable and
safe the better their learning experience
will be. I will help my students by enact-
ing the following:
 The students will constantly be en-
gaged in team building activities and
group work to foster meaningful rela-
tionships.
 Every student will be treated with the
respect and fairness they deserve.
 There will be classroom meetings at
the beginning and end of every week.
 All students will have a job in the
classroom that will change every cou-
ple of weeks.
 Students will be presented with op-
portunities to be connected to the
school community and the surround-
ing community in projects or volun-
teering.
How I see
education..
As a teacher, my first priority is giving
my students the best education possible.
I strive to create a comfortable learning
atmosphere as well as giving every stu-
dent the opportunity to learn at their
ability. I believe all students are capable
of learning and enjoying school if it is
presented to them in an exciting and fun
way. I aim to give my students the tools
they need to be successful in life.
Class Rules
At the beginning of the year we will have
a class meeting to decide upon rules for the
class together. This gives the rules more
meaning to the students since they decided
upon them. A copy of these rules will be
sent out when they are official.
School Rules:
1. Be respectful of yourself, others, & the
property.
2. Be responsible for yourself and your ac-
tions.
3. Be safe.
Expectations:
I expect students to follow the rules and be
good students. I expect them to be kind to
one another and myself. I have three ‘rules’
for my classroom and they are:
1. Always do the best you can
2. Ask questions
3. Have fun!
Rewards &
Consequences
- We have a school wide rewards system that
honors each grade level. There are sticker
charts for all of the areas (lunch, recess, hall-
way, before school) hung throughout the
building. When a faculty members notices a
class doing exceptionally well they will give
them a sticker for that day. The grade with
the most stickers at the end of the month
wins a party.
- There is no rewards system besides per-
sonal and verbal rewards in the classroom.
Students will be praised for their work and
actions often. Their work and actions should
be based solely on the want to do good and
the personal feeling of satisfaction they re-
ceive.
Consequences:
Students not following the rules in the
classroom will not be tolerated. They will
receive a warning before being asked to the
leave the room. Students not following the
rules somewhere else in the building will be
redirected with a warning. After the students
will make an action plan to be approved the
teacher and principal and parents.
