NUMBER OF COPIES TO BE SUBMITTED:

Students should submit three Hard Bound copies to the Faculty Guide/ Supervisor
concerned on or before the specified date. The Faculty Guide should return one
signed copy to the student concern and forward one duly signed copy to the course
coordinator while retaining one signed copy with themselves.

PAGE DIMENSIONS AND MARGIN:

The dimensions of the final bound copies of the project report should be on standard
A4 size paper with appropriate margins so that matter is not hidden in the binding.
The margin could be:

Top: 1 inch

Bottom: 1 inch

Left: 1.25 inch

Right : 0.75 inch


Word format

Font size: 12 for Regular text, 14 for Subtitles and 16 for titles

Font Type: Times New Roman -

Page Type: A4

Alignment: Justified

Printing of Report: Both sides of paper

The project report should be prepared on good quality white paper. Tables and
figures should conform to the margin specifications.

Large size figures should be reduced to the appropriate size before insertion.

Size of the report should be a minimum 100 Pages.

NUMBERING INSTRUCTIONS

Page Numbering All pages numbers (whether it be in Roman or Arabic numbers)


should be typed without punctuation on the lower right hand corner. The preliminary
pages of the project report (such as Title page, Acknowledgement, Table of Contents
etc.) should be numbered in lower case Roman numerals. The title page will be
numbered as (i) but this should not be typed. The page immediately following the
title page shall be numbered (ii) and it should appear at the top right hand corner as
already specified. Pages of main text, starting with Chapter 1 should be
consecutively numbered using Arabic numerals.

Numbering of Chapters, Divisions and Subdivisions

The numbering of chapters, divisions and sub-divisions should be done, using


Arabic numerals only and further decimal notation should be used for numbering the
divisions and subdivisions within a chapter. For example, sub-division 4 under
division 3 belonging to chapter 2 should be numbered as 2.3.4. The caption for the
sub-division should immediately follow the number assigned to it.

Every chapter beginning with the first chapter should be serially numbered using
Arabic numerals. Appendices included should also be numbered in an identical
manner starting with Appendix 1.

Important

(i) A typed draft report (soft copy) as per the above guidelines has to be prepared
and submitted to the guide(s), at least one week before the final presentation of the
project.

(ii) The draft report shall be corrected and approved by the guide(s). The contents of
this approved draft report in the form of a powerpoint presentation is to be produced
before the evaluation board at the time of presentation of the project.

(iii) The final report is to be made after the project presentation.. The corrections and
suggestions made by the evaluation board are to be incorporated in the final report.
Submit the final report, within one week after the final project presentation, to the
Faculty Guide.
