Public facilities are essential facilities that needed to be provided to everyone.
Eg. Healthcare, Sanitation, Public transport, Electricity etc.
2.Where does the government get money for public facilities? (1m)
The Govt. gets money from the taxes they collect from people.
3.What do you mean by basic needs? (1m)
Primary requirement of food, water, sanitation, healthcare and education
necessary for survival are called basic needs.
4.What do you mean by universal access to water? It is coming under Which
Article of the Indian Constitution? (2m)
Every person rich or poor has the right to sufficient amount of water to meet
their daily needs at a price they can afford is known as universal access to
water. Article 21 of the Indian Constitution recongnizes universal access of
water.
5.Mention the important characteristics of public facilities. (2m)
The characteristic of a public facility is that once it is provided, its benefits can
be shared by many people. For instance, a school in the village will enable
many children to get educated. Similarly, the supply of electricity to an area
can be useful for many people.
