~Wednesday, December 1st, is Rosa Parks Day~
On this day in 1955, Rosa Parks was arrested in
Montgomery, AL for refusing to give up her seat
and move to the back of the bus. Her arrest
triggered a yearlong boycott of the municipal bus
company and eventually led to legal actions that
ended racial segregation on city transportation systems.
