Speaking Control 2

1. Photo Description
Students will each be given a photo of a piece of art (in this case, different works of Banksy's
graffiti) and be asked to describe not only what they see, but what they think the work of art means.

2.Art
Students will be asked some questions to test their knowledge of the art-related vocabulary they
learned in Unit 2. They will always be asked follow up questions (most often, “why?”) to encourage
them to speak more and draw out longer, more developed answers. Some sample questions include:
•What is your favorite kind of art? Why?
•Who is your favorite artist? Why?
•Do you make any kind of art? If so, what kind?
•Do you like art? Why/why not?
•Provide an artist for the following type of art: cartoons, graffiti, drawing, painting, photography,
sculpture, etc.

*For Diversificación the prompts are slightly modified for ease of understanding and, in the case of
photo description, shorter and more basic answers are excepted.
