DAY 1
I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. identify and discuss the major historical events that happened during the Renaissance period and its implication
to their socio-cultural life;
2. analyze the factors that contributed to changes in the arts during Renaissance period;
3. reflect on the effects of the socio-cultural issues to the people during the Renaissance period by drawing
a symbol or making a poster depicting the effects.

a. Divide the class into two: the Supporting (Pro) Group and the Opposing (Anti) Group
b. Make a draw lot to assign which group is the Supporting group and the Opposing group
c. Think of an issue about Reformation related to the history or current situation in the Philippines. Discuss
shortly with your group then present your point of views for a minute. Each opposing group will be given 30
seconds to defend starting off with this question: “Do we need Reformation? Why or Why not?”

Make a Bio-data of each artist of the Renaissance based on the video clips being watched. Fill-up the Bio-data.
3. Abstraction
3.1. “First Come, First Serve ”
a. Students will place the name of the artist into chronological order and complete the information required for
each column.
b. They will base their answers to the Bio-data they filled-up earlier. Use the Chronological Table provided.
