SEPARABLE
E.g.: I can’t put off the decision any longer. (delay/procrastinate)
I can’t put the decision off any longer.
I can’t put it off any longer.

INSEPARABLE
E.g.: My grandma is old and needs help getting on and off the bus.
My grandma is old and needs help getting the bus on and off.
My grandma is old and needs help getting it on and off.

BE CAREFUL!
E.g.: I always take off my boots when I get home. (remove a piece of clothing)
I always take my boots off/ take them off. (SEPARABLE)
The plane takes off at 10 AM. (fly) (INSEPARABLE)
