The Nervous system

Comanici Alina M2121

If we will compare the human
body with a community of several
units, the nervous system would
have the main function.
It controls human thought and
conduct,to perceive and
appreciate the world about us, to
see, to move, to hear and to talk.
All information about the
environment is received by the sense
organs and transmitted through the
nerves to the nerve center, from
which they are transmitted to the
muscles.
The nervous system may be classified
into:

Central nervous system Autonomic nervous system

The brain is the largest and most complex mass of

nervous tissue in the body. It includes five distinct
parts: the cerebrum, the mind-brain, the
cerebellum, the pons Varolii and the medulla
oblongata.
The cerebrum fills the whole of The cerebellum has the function to
the upper portion of the skull. It co-ordinate muscular movements.
is composed of layers of gray
The medulla oblongata serves as an
matter (cortex) and white
matter. organ of conduction for the passage
of impulse between the cord and the
brain
The brain and spinal cord
are inclosed within three
membranes: the dura
mater, arachnoid and pia
matter.
The autonomic nervous system
possesses a certain independence of
the central nervous system. It
regulates and controls the visceral
activites on which life depends.
It includes two classes:
parasympathetic and sympathetic.
Conclusion

In conclusion I can say that the nervous system is the set of

organs and structures that allow the transmission of signals
between different parts of the body and make it possible to
coordinate voluntary and involuntary functions, both physical
and psychological.
