Dear Parent/Guardian,
I hope this letter finds you well. As you may be already aware, we are celebrating ‘Kindness’ as a wellbeing
theme for the month of December. To mark this theme, we have a number of activities ongoing throughout the
month which I would like to outline to you;
1. Food Drive – we are asking those who can, to donate dry store cupboard foods, treats or toiletries. We
will donate all collections to the Curragh family resource Centre and they will be given to those in need
in our community.
2. Clothes Drive – we have partnered with ClothesPod and are looking for donations of unwanted clothing.

Green Schools has officially partnered with ClothesPod to bring further sustainability and
environmentally friendly solutions to our schools. ClothesPod are 100% Irish with over 25
years in the textile recycling industry and the best service in the country. ClothesPod service
364 days a year and is reaching out to your school to organise a clothing collection day at
the convenience of the school. Bring in all unwanted clothing and make an impact on the

3. Christmas Jumper Day – On December 10 th we are asking staff and students to wear their Christmas
jumpers in and donate e2 or maximum e5 per household to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.
You can keep up to date with all of the fun and kindness being shared by checking in with your child’s
dedicated Wellbeing Area in MS Teams and/or by following the school on twitter.
