Geographic Location of Nuhash Polli: Nuhash Polli was founded in 1998.

Nuhas polli is a charming & beautiful place situated in Gazipur which is created by famous writer
Humayan Ahmed. Nuhash Polli situated in Pirozali village, under Mirzapur union of Gazipur Sadar
Upazila, are lined with thick Shal forest. It covers around 40 bigha. One path with its beautiful play of
light and shadow, welcomes passers-by, leading them towards Nuhash Polli, 25 km from Gazipur Sadar.
This was the heaven of Humayun Ahmed, a magician of words, who spent most of his time there after he
started directing TV plays and films. Now Nuhash Polli was open to the public and visitors would
traverse great distances to get a view of the picturesque estate. It’s such a beautiful place. Nuhas Polli is
covered in a Green view, it’s a natural beauty. It’s a nice place to visit with family and friends. It has
plenty of trees, sheds, big grass fields, ponds, swimming pool, rest house, and some monuments. About
300 species of medicinal, hurb and fruit trees can be found in the Nuhash Polli. He introduced the visitors
to various species and would invite them to taste the leaves of a particular scented tree. There is no
dangerous or harmful animals and kids can play around all day long. There is a dighi (big pond) at the
extreme north end of Nuhash Polli. Some small houses were built on a large tree in the middle of green
field. There is a modern house named ‘Brishti Bilash’ on one side of a garden. Another attraction of
Nuhash Polli is ‘Leelaboti Dighi’ which is surrounded by various trees. A wooden bridge has been
constructed over the pond. A tent was placed on an artificial island in the middle of the pond. Humayun
Ahmed’s wife, Meher Afroz Shaon, conceived a daughter who died before seeing the light of day. Ahmed
called her Leelaboti, after whom the pond was named. Ahmed also wrote a multi-volume novel called
“Leelaboti”. A wooden bridge has been constructed over this pond and a tent was also placed on an
artificial island in the middle of the pond. A building called ‘Bhutbilash’ was built adjacent to the pond.
‘Bhutbilash’, hoping to behold a ‘ghost’, seated by the veranda of ‘Bhutbilash’ at midnight. Nuhash Polli
houses a large number of sculptures crafted by local sculptor Asaduzzaman Khan. Spectators cannot but
be impressed by a sculpture, ‘Ma O Shishu’ (mother and child) at the entrance to Nuhash Polli. Ghost-
shaped and frog-like sculptures have been made to amuse children, the girl with a book, a women with
fruit bowl, marmaid, dinosaurs, and gaint. A tree house is a delight for children. It’s a haven of children’s.
Humayun Ahmed enjoyed rainfall and moonlit nights. He created a room called “Brishti Bilash’ from
where he could observe the pattering rain. The green yard was always kept clean and tidy to indulge
Ahmed’s passion for watching the waxing and waning moon. On the other side there is a pigeon cage, a

number of rockers. Nuhash Polli is a farm house which was built by Humayun Ahmed. Who is the most
famous writer, novelist, film maker of Bangladesh. It was his dream project. He use this place as shooting
spot of his films and TV dramas. It was his second place. He loved this place as his children. So that he
wanted to live there after his death. As per his last wish he buried here. After his death this place became
more popular. Many people go there only show respect to his graveyard.

Swot Analysis OF Nuhas Polli:

 Strengths: There are 300 types of fruits, medicinal, herbs, and orkids trees. Actually its look like a
green viewer. It’s a natural beauty. There is a tree house for the children’s looks like a haven.
There is a small park for the children’s. There are two ponds. . It has a large number of
sculptures. , ‘Ma O Shishu’ (mother and child) at the entrance to Nuhash Polli. Ghost- shaped and
frog-like sculptures have been made to amuse children, the girl with a book, a women with fruit
bowl, marmaid, dinosaurs, and gaint. For the children’s there is a number of rockers. All kinds of
people enjoy there. The most interesting is that there is Humayun Ahmed’s grave.

 Weaknesses: There are some weakness like Road, Foods problem, not available fresh water, in
the washroom there is no essential things which is used in our daily life like lake of water, no
available tissue, and also no available place for stay. Public transportation is not good.

 Opportunities: Nuhas polli is a charming & beautiful place situated in Gazipur which is created
by famous writer Humayan Ahmed. It is very nice place to visit with friends & family. This place
 is haven for book lovers. This place is used as shooting spot of his films and TV dramas. This is
the right place for the writer to thin about nature. This place can be used a great tourist spot. In
future this place can be eco village.

 Treats: There is not storage of sufficient accommodation. There is no sufficient stuffy, not to
enough fresh water, no medical center. Entire area is filled up with jungle. There is no security,
anything can happened with visitors. Different kind of political issues. Lack of care of the
resources, proper care about infrastructure, lack of advertising.

Take Some Steps for Developing Nuhas Polli:

1. Creating some security awareness,
2. Take proper care of this place. Give some proper stuffy and also fixed the
washroom.
3. The conditions of road is very worst, we should take some step to repair this road
and arranging some transport that can help people to reach their safely.
4. Keep awareing people about the quicksand.
5. There is no medical center so creating a medical center for helping the tourist.
Also arranging fresh water and hygienic foods.

Conclusion: Nuhash Polli is our pride. Our most favorite writer create it. We should keep it safe
and clean .We should used it a tourist sport. Its beauty should more renewable by all. It’s a natural beauty
everybody enjoy this place.
