1. Do some research on the main characteristics of both Latin and


Anglo cultures and make a mind map based on your findings
(differences and similarities). It is mandatory to at least use two
references from 2018 or more recent.
2. Think about your local business environment and look for six
typical situations where these characteristics may play an
important role in business communications.
3. Design a solution strategy or intervention to deal with the cultural
conflict in each of those six situations. You may use Hofsted's
cultural dimensions.

1. The development of small and medium-sized enterprises is


affected by large companies.
2. Unemployment and poverty are very noticeable on the outskirts of
large cities.
3. It takes a lot of contacts, people, etc. to make a small business
stable for a long time.
4. Corruption reaches even the smallest business, as drug traffickers
collect the so-called "plazas" to be able to continue working in a dignified
and clean manner.
5. One good thing is the fact that you can get to know an indigenous
language in your own work environment, since many of them come to the
big cities. And from there you discover a part of the Latino cultural
identity.
6. The richness of literature means that the same companies require
certain employees to read the most important texts of the region in which
they live.

This refers to the strength of the ties that people have to others within their
community.

A high IDV score shows weak interpersonal connection among those who are
not part of a core "family." Here, people take less responsibility for others'
actions and outcomes.

In a collectivist society, however, people are supposed to be loyal to the group


to which they belong, and, in exchange, the group will defend their interests.
The group itself is normally larger, and people take responsibility for one
another's well-being.

By choosing this strategy, we emphasize the struggle of large companies,


monopolies, etc. For the advancement of these small and medical businesses,
here we will give the option to make the famous campaign "Consume local", this
is the best alternative to achieve the advancement of the internal economy of
the country, not only supporting one, but thousands of people who every day
dedicate their lives and their time in order to give quality in hundreds of
handmade products, better quality, and giving jobs to more people in the
national area in Mexico.
