This topic assigned us to search,
understand, and analyze the TWO FORMS OF CORRECTION: (1) Institutional Correction and (2) Non- Institutional Correction. Those who are housed in secure correctional facilities are referred to as institutional corrections. While Non- Institutional Corrections refer to the release of offenders charged with an offense for which the sentence is less than six (6) months in the community or the manner of and/or a fine. Additionally, we also learned the purpose of punishment. It was (1) To segregate offenders from society and (2) To rehabilitate him so that upon his returns to the society he shall be responsible and law -abiding citizen.

We have been given a task to watch the
documentary Behind Bar: South Cotabato Jail and write a reaction paper that contained 500 words about it. It was a great, entertaining, and thrilling experience to watch. South Cotabato Jail, the world's harshest prison in the Philippines, was the subject of this documentary. One of the world's most congested jails. Murderers, rapists, and drug traffickers are all on the loose. The guilty and the innocent. They're all locked up together. There is a place in South Cotabato that so many people sacrificing their lives just to survive in a day because of heavy sacrifices of life behind those bars. They were treated like a slave with full of criminals around you. This video documentary is the on YouTube. The most important work of the group “Free Documentary” lesson I've learned here is to always control your emotions or anger, be appreciative in life, avoid drugs, and most importantly, love your family as your everything because we will always blame ourselves and wonder why we broke the law if we're behind bars. This topic, the ADMISSION PROCESS
OF PERSONS DENIED OF LIBERTY is quite interesting since it teaches me and explains the procedure before admitting an offender to prison in great detail. The different processes and procedures are well-explained. In this topic, several roles, staff, and personnel’s are mentioned. This topic also includes admission and confinement. It contains two sections: the Reception and Diagnostic Center, often known as the RDC, and the Quarantine Unit or Cell. Furthermore, several examinations or procedures (such as physical examinations and interviews with a counselor, social worker, or other program staff officers) must be completed). The inmate also assigned to be carried out through various treatments (such as psychiatric, psychological, sociological, vocational, educational, religious, and other assessments) for a maximum of 55 days. After the different process that will be conducted before admitting them inside. from registration, photographed until the assigned permanent prison number of inmates process are very well indicated in this module.
