event to the Monkey.
Resolution The monkey can be free from danger
The crocodile lost the juicy apples and a great
friend
Conclusion  Be wise in your choice of friends,
because no human being doesn’t envy
us.
 In times of danger and adversities, we
must not get scared. But instead we
must act smartly just like the monkey.
 In any situation, we must not betray
anyone’s trust. Otherwise, we might
end up losing everything like the
crocodile.
 2. Paragraph development

Crocodile and Monkey

Once upon a time, there lived a gentle Crocodile in the river and a smart Monkey on the
nearby an apple tree. They didn’t know each other at first but they become very good friends. It
was when crocodile was hungry to look at food to eat and then he found an apple tree which
made him confused how to get it. He saw a Monkey on a tree and asked to get it. Monkey was
friendly and gave it directly. After that every day, the monkey would pluck some juicy apples for
the crocodile. Whereas the Crocodile would swim to the center of the pond and pick some fishes
for the monkey. (Orientation)

Crocodile had a wife. One day, the Crocodile told her wife about his friend but his wife
didn’t like with their friendship. She was jealous and found a way to make them less friend
again. She got an idea. In the evening, she pretended to sick suddenly and the doctor was called
to check her. She already made planning with the doctor before. Then, the doctor said that
Crocodile’s Wife life was short and maybe will be die. The Crocodile was surprised. Then the
doctor said that only one way to cure his wife by feeding her a Monkey’s heart. It made him
double surprised. After that, his wife told that he can give her monkey’s heart from his best
friend if the Crocodile wanted the wife to be better. Crocodile was getting more and more
confused and became very sad. On the one hand, he didn’t want to lose his wife but the monkey
still his best friend. And finally, he decided to go to the Monkey and told him that. Crocodile’s
wife was very happy to hear that. (Complication)

The next day, the crocodile asked monkey for a ride. He quickly sat on the Crocodile’s
back. They were playing together until the Crocodile was confused how to tell that. And finally,
the Crocodile said the true event that he had promised his wife that he would bring him to get his
heart as cure Crocodile’s Wife. Monkey was surprised to hear that. After a long pause, the clever
Monkey told the Crocodile that he left his heart in the behind apple tree. The kind Crocodile
swam back to the tree. (Complication)
 As they came back, the monkey jumped off the Crocodile’s back and said to the
Crocodile, “You are so stupid Crocodile, how could I left my heart in the behind apple tree.
Don’t forget, tell your wife that she was married to the most stupid Crocodile in this world.”
Monkey couldn’t stop laughing and embarrassed the crocodile. The crocodile left and regretted.
Because of his wife, he has lost a juicy apples and a great friend. (Resolution)

The structure used to organized the paragraph above:

1. Orientation
The first paragraph is clearly seen to introduce the participants of the Crocodile and
Monkey Story. Where Monkey as the main character of this story, Crocodile was treated
Monkey was good, and the Crocodile’s wife was treated Monkey was evil. Monkey was
introduced as a clever monkey in this story. He can think smart when he was in danger.

2. Complication
 Major Complication :
In the second paragraph, the Crocodile’s Wife was jealous because of their
friendship and want to kill the monkey with eating monkey’s heart.
 Minor Complication :
In the third paragraph, the Crocodile was confused how about the Monkey.
Because he must get the monkey’s heart for his wife but in the one hand Monkey
was his best friend.

3. Resolution
 Major Resolution :
In the fourth paragraph, the Monkey can be free from the crocodile with using his
smart brain to say that he left his heart in the behind apple tree.
 Minor Resolution :
In the fourth paragraph (the last paragraph), the Crocodile lost the juicy apples
and a great friend because of his wife.
