● Teach western land terms from the Lasso’n Lingo list. Then, the students have to create a short story about the western culture using 5 of the
vocabulary words.
● Teacher dresses up as a cowboy and brings boots, spurs, a bandana, a rope, and cowboy hat. Each student picks one of the items and has to explain
why and how cowboys used it.

● Discuss and review the different parts of a flower as vocabulary words.


● Students color the flower on a worksheet. Then, they have to label the 5 parts of a flower by cutting and pasting the vocabulary words on the correct spot.
● The students make a hat for the a life cycle of a plant/flower. They would draw five pictures that show the life cycle and then put the steps in order. The top
of the hat would be a drawing of a flower using one of the 5 colors mentioned in the song.

*Bonus activity: Each student gets to plant a flower and watch it grow throughout many weeks. They predict, observe, and conclude as to what happens to
the flower while it grows.

students to count and answer the subtraction problems.
● Give each student 10 small plastic objects and have them practice counting down from 10 to 1. Also ask them to show you how many 5 objects is etc.
● Staple the color and count booklet together and give each student their own. They will color and count how many bears are on each page. Then,
they have to write the answer to the subtraction problems.

● Change the name BINGO and use different words or the names of your students. Using the different words, you sing the song and have the students
repeat after you and clap during each letter. Students practice and recognize spelling.
● Students practice letter awareness by using cut-out letters to spell their name in order on the worksheet. They also put letters that are not in their
name at the bottom of the worksheet. As a challenge, they could also do this using familiar family member or pet names.
● When it's time to line up, each student takes turns singing this song and spelling their name instead of B-I-N-G-O. They will remember how to spell
their name by the end of the week!

different partners and explain what makes them happy, angry, sad, and excited.
● Discuss the importance of emotions and expressing how you feel.
