 Get the pupils to turn to AB page 5.
 Teacher makes the sound of an animal or a vehicle
in each set and get the pupils to repeat.
 Pupils then circle the correct pictures.
2. Activity b:
 Get the pupils to turn to AB page 6.
 Teacher make a sound in each set.
 Guide the pupils to tick the correct picture.
 Focus on the instrumental, body percussion, and
voice sounds.
3. Discuss the answers with the pupils.
c. Post listening:
1. Name the 26 letters in the alphabet chart and get the pupils
to repeat.
d. Closure:
1. Divide the pupils into groups.

1. Call out pupils to the front of the class.
2. Teacher point to one pupil and ask he/she to pick one card.
3. Teacher choose one pupil to flip the card and read the
sentences/riddle aloud.
4. Teacher picks one pupils to give the answer.
Attendance: 5. If the answer is wrong, pick another pupil to correct it.
6. Repeat step 5, 6 and 7 until the task completed.

Example: Trace the letter ‘s’ in the air and say /s/.

1. Get pupils into pairs. One is sitting as the writer and another one
is the runner. The writer needs a pencil and an eraser and a RD
writing lines.
2. Ask two pupils from a pair to stand up. Tell the runner to run to
the sentence strips on the wall. Model the process, run with the

runner. Tell the runner to read the 1st word and go back to the
writer.
