1. Demonstrate their understanding in affixes through recitation.
2. Determine the meaning of words using roots, prefixes, and suffixes.

FINDING MS. TERY WORD
 The teacher has divided the class into 6 groups.
 The teacher will share the trivia about the longest word that is having different
affixes.
 Let the students find the Mystery Word or the Root word used to form the longest
word.
 Students will be given 3mins to guess the word; the group will have corresponding
word on this activity.
 Let the students know the significance or relationship of this word on today’s topic.

Vocabulary Enrichment.
 Still on groups, let the students widen their vocabs by trying to guess the word based
on the pictures and meaning given.
 Let them use the word in a simple yet meaningful sentence.

 The students will have a quiz bee.
 The teacher will roll a die which is having different samples of affixes, she will ask the
representative to give a word that starts or ends with the given affix.
 After the students give their own examples let them underline the root word and try to
give the meaning of the newly formed word.
