Expectations
What you see here is me on the day of my confirmation. While this was taken years ago, I believe
that it is a photo that is taken which portrays the moment I have chosen to receive and enter the
Kingdom of God into my heart and soul. Since then, I have been a wise person nurturing what’s given
to me and since that day, I have preached about what goodness the Kingdom of God brings into our
lives.

1. What event in Jesus’ life does it depict?

The event that I have chosen is the time Jesus preached about the Kingdom of God. He taught them
parables that contained meaningful messages and for me. It is something that I can portray to help people
know about this event in Jesus’ life more.

2. What is the significance of this event to you?

The significance of this is that in this event, He assisted the listeners to comprehend how the "sacred" and
the "secular" fit together. He taught individuals how to strike a balance between being apart from the
world and remaining a part of it. This event in His life showed His people how to integrate all aspects of
their lives into a unified whole under God's rule. In the listener's mind, He dismantled the barrier that
separates the sacred and the secular. Through His preaching, He taught how to live out the kingdom in
every facet of their lives, leaving no stone unturned.

3. Inspired by the event in Jesus’ life, what message do you want to convey to your viewers?
The message that I want to convey is at some point in our lives, we’re bound to accept the Kingdom of
God throughout our journey. It is our choice to make but with my post, I hope that I can encourage people
to receive it like how Jesus preached and didn’t leave the Kingdom of God from His teachings. The
teaching and preaching about the Kingdom of God is very exclusive nowadays. Without a doubt, some
people probably think about the Kingdom of God as a place like heaven but in reality, it is within us. We
are one with the Kingdom and we are tasked to nurture it for us to be worthy of receiving the Kingdom of
God in our heart and soul.
