1 - INTRODUCTION

1.1 GENERAL
The Sauer-Danfoss service device SUSMIC-DIA 1 is designed for use as a setup service and diagnostic tool.
During field service additional tools like a multi-meter or frequency-meter is not generally needed. No complicated connection is
necessary. The separate connection cable must be connected with the SUSMIC-DIA 1 and the Digital Controller to start the service job.

~ NOTE!!! The SUSMIC-DIA 1 is not water protected. It is a precision measuring tool and it should be handled with care
(protect against water, shock and dust).

2.1 GENERAL
This procedure is always needed for the first setup of a machine or after replacement of a sensor or actuator.

2.1.1 Activation of the SUSMIC-DIA 1

To start the communication between the Digital Controller and the service device SUSMIC-DIA 1 the button must be pushed. Now
you are in the "Communication Procedure". The display shows:

To select a procedure (sensor setup, sensor error, sensor check) use buttons and . Push the button to start the selected
procedure.
During communication with the SUSMIC-DIA 1 the Digital Controller gives no output.

2.3 SENSOR SETUP LIST


This System defines the following sensor setup procedures:

Setup procedures 00, 01, 02, 04 and 05 can be made with or without engine running.

For the setup procedures 03 the engine must be running and make sure that the gearbox is in neutral position.

Procedures can be made individually if needed.

After all necessary setups have been done, the new adjustment will be saved in the SUS MIC when you exit the setup menu {see flow
chart) with the button until the display shows:

This procedure allows the indication of errors in the control peripheries (sensors/actuators) with the SUSMIC-DIA 1.
