AS-interface components

AS-interface master
- For midi/maxi valve terminal type 03
- For ISO valve terminal type 04
The AS-interface master can be installed like an I/O module.
Its position is permanently fixed directly next to the left end
plate.
The AS-interface master creates the interface between the
AS-interface network and the valve terminal. It is the starting
point of the
AS-interface network. Up to 31 decentralised users (slaves),
each with 4 digital inputs and outputs, can be connected via

the
AS-interface master.

Configuration plug ASI-SS-CONF

A plug is required for configuration of the master. To start
configuration, the plug must be connected to the master
before operating
voltage is switched on. If the plug is removed during master
operation, the master configuration is stored to non-volatile
memory.

Individual valve interfaces

Individual valve interfaces are available with one or two
outputs for various valve solenoids. An M12 socket is also
included on the
individual valve interface, to which two sensors can be
connected. The individual valve interface can be operated
with or without
additional voltage. Additional voltage is required for users
with high power consumption, or for shutdown in emergency
stop situations.

Addressing device AS-PRG-ADR

Before an AS-interface network is commissioned, addresses

must be assigned to the connected slaves. These addresses
are stored to
an EEPROM chip on each slave. Each slave is connected
in turn to the addressing device, in order to allow for the
assignment of an
address. Addressing is simple and is performed with 4 keys.

- Universal adapter connection suitable for all AS-interface
slaves

Addressing cable KASI-ADR

Combi power pack ASI-CNT-115/230VAC-B

The combi power pack supplies the AS-interface network
with operating voltage.
The device with integrated data disconnect creates two
highly constant direct voltages of 30 and 24 V DC with low
residual ripple.
The power supply outputs are resistant to sustained short
circuits. The device can be configured for line voltages of
either 230 or 115 V
AC. The power supply is suitable for installation in
encapsulated control systems and electronic cabinets, as
well as for wall mounting.
Connection is made via cage clamps. The connections are
safe from finger-touch in accordance with DIN VDE part
100.

Flat cable
The flat cable includes two conductors. The coding strip
prevents polarity reversal. AS-interface network users are
connected to the flat
cable by means of connection elements with insulation
displacement technology utilising contact pins, thus
eliminating the need to strip
cable and wire insulation.

CP valve terminal with AS interface

The CP valve terminal with AS interface can be equipped
with 2 to 8 valve slices.

Flat cable distributor ASI-KVT-...

Allows flat cable to be branched at any desired point to AS-
interface network users.

- Symmetrical type flat cable distributor
With the help of this distributor, the profile lug can be rotated
180° to change from one to another cable.
Loops are avoided in this way. Three cable covers are
provided in the scope of delivery to seal the cable ends.

DUO cable KM12-DUO-M8-...

Duo cables group two sensor connections together on a 4-
core cable.

Extension cable KM12-M12-GSGD-...

These connecting cables are installed as height adapters
between a DUO cable and the sensor inputs.

The 4-pin DUO plug combines two sensor connections in
one casing.

For insulating and sealing the AS-interface cable.
