Phase-II counseling Schedule for B. Tech. and Dual Degree Program B.Tech.(MAE) +MBA

Phase II of Counselling

The following types of candidates are eligible for Phase II of counselling

Type-I
i) Candidates already registered but currently do not hold any seat in any of the participating
institutes - DTU, IGDTUW,IIITD, NSUT and DSEU. These include –

a) Those who were not offered any seat in Phase I (R1 – R4).
b) All the admitted candidates who have withdrawn/ withdraw their seats till 4th December
2021 – 11:59 pm.
c) All those candidates who were allotted a seat in Phase I (R1 – R4) but did not pay the seat
acceptance fee.
d) All those candidates whose seats were cancelled due to some discrepancy in their
Documents

ii) Any candidate who had not registered during previous round of counselling. Such candidate
will have to first register on JAC Delhi portal and pay Rs. 1500 as registration fee. It may be
noted that fresh registrations will only be opened for Round 5. There will be no fresh
registrations in Round 6.

Type-II

i) All admitted candidates.

PROCEDURE FOR PARTICIPATION IN PHASE-II (Round 5 and Round 6)

Type I Candidates

All such registered candidates have to pay a Phase-II Participation Fee of Rs.10,000/-
(Rupees Ten Thousand only). Previously registered candidates will be allowed to modify
their choices as per the timelines specified in the counselling schedule of Round 5 as given
in this schedule.
Any of the previously registered candidates who do not hold a seat or whose seats were cancelled
in earlier rounds and who require any change in their category/sub-category or region may
request permission to edit their details by submitting a request on JAC helpdesk email id on 7th
and 8th December between 10:00 am to 5:00 pm only. Requests received during this period only
will be considered.

NOTE - In case, a seat is allotted to a candidate in phase-II (round 5 and round 6), this
amount of Rs.10,000/- will be adjusted against the seat acceptance fee and the candidate will
have to deposit only the balance fee of 1,02,000/- as seat acceptance fee.
For all those candidates who do not accept the allotted seat in phase-II, this
participation fee (Rs. 10,000/-) will be forfeited

 Type II (those who already hold a seat in any of the participating institute)

All admitted candidates will automatically participate in phase-II. Those who have not freezed their
allotted branch in the previous round, may change their preference of choices. In order to change his/her
choices, a candidate MUST visit JAC Delhi website and change their preferences using the candidate
login as per this counselling schedule. These candidates are not required to pay any Phase-II
participation fee (Rs. 10,000/-).

Fifth Round of Counselling

a) Candidates of Type – I, who are allotted a seat in this round will have to pay the seat acceptance fee
of Rs. 1,02,000/- strictly within the duration specified in this counselling schedule. The document
verification process will start only after the online fee payment is reflected in JAC Delhi System. In
case your ‘Candidate Login’ does not indicate Payment Success even after 6 hrs of your making the
payment, then you are advised to contact JAC Delhi (payments.jacdelhi@gmail.com) immediately.
b) For a candidate failing to pay the seat acceptance fee as per the counselling schedule, his/her allotted
seat will stand automatically cancelled and the candidate will not be considered for seat allotment in
round 6. The Participation Fee of Rs.10,000/- of such candidates will be forfeited.
c) Candidates of Type - II may either be allotted a seat of higher preference choice or their previously
allotted seat will remain unchanged. They can, if they wish, freeze their allotted seat or wait for
upgradation in round 6.
d) In case, a candidate, who has been admitted/upgraded in this round, desires to continue in the seat
allotted (i.e. he/she does not want to be considered for upgradation to his/her higher
preferences in subsequent rounds of counselling), then he/she must exercise the Branch
Freezing option available in ‘candidate login’ on JAC Website on the day(s) mentioned in
this counselling schedule (after confirmation of admission).

Sixth Round of Counselling

The following candidates are eligible for Sixth Round of Counselling:
i. Type - I: All registered candidates who paid the participation fee of Phase II and were not
allotted any seat in the fifth round of seat allotment.

ii. Type–II: The admitted candidates of rounds 1,2,3,4,5 of counselling, who paid prescribed
admission fee as required, also got their documents verified successfully and didn’t freeze their
seat (such candidates are eligible for institute/branch upgradation only)

iii. Type-III: All candidates who were allotted a seat in the fifth round of counselling, paid
prescribed admission fee as required but their admissions were not confirmed by admission
committee due to some deficiencies in their documents and admission committee permitted
them to participate in next round of counselling with changed category/subcategory/region.

Fresh registration and editing of filled choices are not permitted before Round 6.
(a) Candidates of Type – I, who are allotted a fresh seat in this round will have to pay the seat acceptance
fee (Rs. 1,02,000/-) strictly within the duration specified in this counselling schedule. The document
verification process will start only after the online fee payment is reflected in JAC Delhi System. In

 case your ‘Candidate Login’ does not indicate Payment Success even after 6 hrs of your making the

(d) Candidates of Type-III, will participate in sixth round of seat allotment with changed
category/subcategory/region. Like Type-I, they may be allotted a fresh seat but they need not pay the
admission fee as they have already paid it in fifth round
In case, a candidate, who has been admitted/upgraded in this round, desires to continue in the seat
allotted (i.e. he/she does not want to be considered for upgradation to his/her higher preferences
in subsequent rounds of counselling), then he/she must exercise the Branch Freezing option
available in ‘candidate login’ on JAC Website on the day(s) mentioned in counselling schedule
(after confirmation of admission).

Upgradation of Admitted Candidates after Phase -II

Final Upgradation of all the admitted candidates till Round 6 will be done as specified in Section
5.7 (Page 59 -60) of Information Brochure as per the schedule given in the following table.
