Philosophical Importance of Art


What does art tell us  Arts encourage self-expression and creativity, and they can help
about ourselves? people gain confidence and a feeling of self. It instills in us fresh
perspectives on life and the world. Art teaches us how to communicate
our thoughts and ideas. It instills in us the importance of staying true
to ourselves. It enables us to imagine, develop, and reflect our
thoughts in a visual representation of our environment. It's coming to
terms with who we are.
What does it do to  Art has a significant impact on society through influencing public
us? opinion, teaching values, and transmitting experiences across place
and time. It provides us with meaning and assists us in comprehending
our surroundings. Art appreciation has been shown in scientific
research to improve our quality of life and make us feel good. We
strengthen our problem-solving abilities and open our minds to new
ideas when we make art.
What purpose does it  Art allows people to express their imagination in nondramatic ways
serve our lives? (things, places, and concepts that are unreal or unknowable). Unlike
words, which come in a series of meanings, art offers a variety of
shapes, symbols, and concepts whose meanings can be defined by the
artist. It stimulates thoughtful debate and the realization that there are
multiple approaches to everything by allowing us to listen to diverse
perspectives and viewpoints as well as interpretations of the art.

What I know about these philosophical concepts in art.

Integrity  Artistic integrity is generally defined as the ability to omit an


acceptable level of opposing, disrupting, and corrupting values that
would otherwise alter an artist's or entities original vision in a way that
violates their own preconceived aesthetic standards and personal
values.

Proportion/  The art principle of proportion refers to proportional size. The


Consonance elements of art are not the same as the principles of art. Proportion
refers to the size of one thing in relation to another. Proportion is
critical for drawing or painting realistically.

Radiance/Clarity  Radiance denotes the luminosity that emanates from a beautiful object,
which initially draws the beholder's attention. This trait is closely
related to medieval ideas about light. "All form, through which things
have, being, is a certain participation in divine clarity [or light]."
