範文

There are many ways students can practice their English listening skills. Since this is a
vital skill, it is useful to know how high school students practice it in Taiwan. As the pie chart♦

shows, most either listen to English songs or watch movies in English to practice their listening
skills. These two choices make up nearly 50% of the pie chart. This finding♦ is not surprising
5 since movies and music are fun activities for students to do. The chart shows that students
also watch English TV channels♦, listen to English radio stations, and chat with foreigners to
improve their skills.
As for my preference2, I enjoy listening to English radio stations to enhance3 my
language skills. This is the same as 17% of respondents♦ to the survey. I prefer listening to the
10 radio over watching TV because it allows me to concentrate on the words spoken and not
get distracted4 by images♦ on the screen. In addition, I can always listen to my favorite radio
program through my smartphone whenever and wherever I want. Regardless of the method
students choose, practicing listening skills is something they should do regularly5 if they want
to see a steady6 improvement in their English.
