LOCAL STUDIES

This reference, research and materials are took in a research

online/computer website which is close related to our topic.
This review of related literature was very helpful gaining and
knowing the other ideas of others existed and already
published system in their own documents, survey and
observations etc. Also in this chapter includes the ideas,
finished thesis, generalization or conclusions, methodologies
and others. In those that were included this chapter help
familiarizing information that are relevant and similar to the
present study.

Studies in Higher Education Drawing on upper echelon theory, we
investigate whether university
deans’ personal characteristics, including age, sex, educational
background, and tenure are associated with their use of university
management control systems (MCS), fifinancial performance measures,
and non-fifinancial performance measures. We surveyed the dean of
every faculty across Australia’s 39 public universities. Our results
indicate
that deans’ personal characteristics are associated with the emphasis
they place on fifinancial and non-fifinancial performance measures and
the
manner in which they use MCS. Given the decision-making powers of
deans in the corporatised university, this diffffering emphasis on
performance measures and varying use of MCS is likely to impact
university outcomes. We offffer suggestions as to how university MCS
could
be designed and performance measures presented to take into account
the particular characteristics of deans to enhance university outcomes.

In 2016 ELYASIZADEH, SAMRAND and her team developed Automated

Monitoring System Designing a Laboratory Equipment Tracking
SystemMany organizations aim to finding an effective method for an
automated, accurate and reliable system for monitoring and tracking
items. In places where there are lots of items accessed by many users,
loss rate it often high due to weakness in items monitoring. This thesis
focuses on improving the laboratory equipment monitoring system of
Lahti University of Applied Sciences (LUAS). The conventional method of
checking items for every laboratory session is based on manual
monitoring, which leads to a challenge for the lab administrator to
monitor the flow of the items. The objective of this thesis was to provide
a design to replace this oldfashioned manual system with a system that
is based on new technologies. The main task of the designed system is to
automatically identify personnel, students, and laboratory equipment
for every loan of equipment in a laboratory session. To present a
systematic and practical design for automated monitoring, a solution has
been provided, using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
Therefore, an RFIDbased monitoring system was designed and
developed to solve the problem associated with the handling of
laboratory equipment. RFID is a wireless Auto-ID technology that has
received considerable worldwide attention. It is widely used in
monitoring and tracking systems, ranging from human identification to
product identification. In the designed solution, any important object is
equipped with RFID tags. The RFID reader is located at each laboratory
to record and verify the RFID tags in the area. The system enables the
university to give permission to selected individuals to access locations,
permit movement of items, record the important data and also enable
the viewing of records online.

In 2017 Jun Brian P. Tubongbanua Kwency Maye V Dahilan

Kayepril Georgette A Sagun  Jherex L Ruiz they developed
Web-Based Information and Monitoring System of Cagayan de
Oro City Academy for International EducationThe study aimed
at providing the Cagayan de Oro Academy for International
Education with a web-based information and monitoring
system capable of carrying out school transactions of the
Cagayan de Oro Academy for International Education. An online
information and monitoring system is complex and flexible and
is designed to meet distinct needs. In developing the proposed
system, the researchers used the Prototyping Life Cycle Model
These applications improved the traditional transaction
processing systems. Staff finds it tedious in searching and
preparing reports on student’s information and also laborious
due to repetition of processes done in filling and updating of
records. The proposed system caters posting and viewing of
grades, class schedules, students, guardians and staff profiling
and other important data needed in the system. The Web-
based Information and Monitoring System is an expansion of a
basic information system achieved through system design of an
improved or broader capability by functionally or technically
relating two or more information systems. With this, the
academy will be able to provide quality service to its students.
This thesis study offers important implication for monitoring
and information of the school and lessen the workload of
school management and save time.
