Civil engineering's primary responsibility is construction.

Given the number of work-related

abilities required to thrive in this field, this course can be classified as tough. You will be working on sites
where you will be building or constructing structures once you have completed this course. You should
be aware of the correct and acceptable construction rules.

I just finished watching a video that was quite amazing. It's a YouTube video that teaches basic
construction skills by reacting to documented videos of a specific structure being built. Aron James T.
Garcia, a certified civil engineer, delivered it. The speaker discussed various important subjects,
including standard concrete mixtures, workmanship, safety and steel bar placement, and concrete based
on the National Structural Code of the Philippines (NSCP) 2015. Engr. Garcia discussed both bad and
good construction worker habits, as well as the necessary mathematics and code specifications, in order
to help his viewers, comprehend "why" we do things rather than just "how."

The second video covers beams, footings, and concrete placement. Similarly, the film is jam-
packed with useful information and fascinating insights. From the many types of beams to the right
placement of concrete that does not affect the bars, everything is covered. What piqued my curiosity
was the process of putting the chemical together, which I had never done before in my life. Even if it's
only in video form, it's really wonderful to behold. Overall, his movie is both educational and exciting at
the same time. The workers did a wonderful job on the video, however Engr. Garcia pointed out a lot of
faults. This is what bothers me the most. What's the status of the house? Is the house still in good
working order? Keeping everything in place would not only help the structure endure longer, but it will
also keep the residents safe at home or wherever they go. Engr. Garcia further emphasizes the
importance of wearing personal protection equipment. It is critical that every employee wears it for
their own safety. There are a lot of things that can go wrong on construction sites. Because accidents are
unpredictable, wearing such protection reduces the risk of serious injury. In the picture of a building site,
supervising the workers as they do their jobs is crucial. Supervising the workers would allow them to
remedy mistakes or double-check their work because it would reduce the chances of making a mistake.

After watching the movie, I learned a lot of useful information, ideas, and recommendations on
reinforcement bars. It is critical to adhere to construction codes in order to protect structures and
people from many extreme disasters that may occur. As a soon-to-be Civil Engineer who will be on the
job site soon, this is a huge assistance in terms of knowing what to avoid and what to do while building a
column and beam with reinforcing bars. I also like seeing it since I know I will be doing something similar
in the future because it is relevant to my profession, and I appreciate things that are relevant to my
desire. I’m excited at the same time because I can clearly see myself working on the site, and I want to
do everything to ensure the safety of the people from the buildings that we will construct by adhering to
all building codes, as Civil Engineers play a vital role in society. They are in charge of keeping society
secure in a variety of ways, including through rural engineering. Civil engineers plan, design, construct,
manage, run, and maintain infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sectors,
including highways, buildings, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, and water supply and sewage treatment
systems. Civil engineers have a lot of responsibility, and I still have a lot to learn as a Civil Engineering
student.
