Fall Culture Building

What do we value?
We value growing not just as players, growing into men of character and taking what we learn
off the field into real life where ever we end up after high school.
What values do we want to act as the foundation for our team culture?
Consistency, Commitment, Positivity, Motivation.
What is our attitude?
No negativity, keep up the energy, respect for one another and to enjoy the time with each other.
What attitudes and beliefs about your sport, competition, and team do you want to hold?
Keeping the next play mentality up, uplifting each other, but staying competitive while we do it.
What kind of atmosphere do we want on our team?
Positivity, Lots of Energy and Passion, Lots of competitiveness, like I said earlier, enjoy the time
with each other but we need to stay competitive while we do it to stay on track.
What do we believe?
We work hard during practice, after practice, in the classroom, things will go our way.
What is most important to you?
Making sure everyone does their part on and off the field, making sure that everyone grows as
lacrosse players and even more than that, We take the lessons we’ve learned from our coaches
and remember them for the rest of our lives. Making sure that everyone feels welcome, to let
everyone know we are brothers even beyond the sport. To also help lay down a strong foundation
for future seasons to come.
What are our shared goals?
Win every game, Win every ground ball battle Beat Westlake, Win Marmonte League, come into
this season with everyone having their role on the team, always coming ready to play.
What are the goals that the team wants to pursue?
Go undefeated in league play, win every gb battle thats 50/50, build up a strong defense
What are the expectations?
Everyone comes ready to play, the energy should be at 100% at all times no matter the
circumstances. If there are problems or reasons that players aren’t able to make it to practice
they need to let someone know way ahead of time. Everyone needs to stay committed to the
sport if they want to play, can’t have people who just want to mess around and slack off, and
take that energy and spread it around the program.
How should the athletes and coaches treat each other?
Everyone should treat each other with respect, players should treat the coaches with more
respect than players with players, but they should still both be high.
What is our purpose?
To grow the sport in our school community, to grow as lacrosse players. To also make sure that
everyone on the team grows spiritually and to learn life skills as we become young men. Being
able to give these players a different outlook or perspective on playing the sport, or in general.
