References He was a Colombian lawyer, comedian, actor, journalist, political critic and pacifist. He was the most recognized activist in the country not only because of his characters, but because of the messages and criticisms he transmitted to viewers through his characters. He is considered a representative figure of young Colombians since he always supported the peaceful ideologies of the country’s youth and considered them the future of the nation. His birth name was Jaime Hernando Garzon Forero. He was born at October 24, 1960, in Bogotá. He studied in the Faculty of Law in the Colombia National University, faculty which I don’t finish. However, after his death, the Faculty awarded him the posthumous title of lawyer and honoris causa in education and as peace mediator. He was mayor of the town of Sumapaz between 1988 and 1990, during the capital administration of the ex-President Andrés Pastrana. Finally, Jaime Garzon was killed on August 13, 1999 in the city of Bogotá when he was on his way to the station where he worked. Jaime Garzon is a social leader who, despite his death, marked a generation that always remembers him for his desire to see a Colombia full of peace and without corruption, also for being the activist of the pacifist movement in the country and, mainly, of young people. Jaime Garzón was the cause of the change in mentality of the majority of Colombians, that mentality that changed thanks to his characters that mocked the politics of the country, with which I open our eyes, and made us believe in a country full of peace, in the midst of so much war.
