The University of Washington Libraries utilize Archive-It (AI), a web archiving service built for
collecting, accessing and preserving large collection of information by the Internet Archive.
Archive-It at University of Washington is managed by Digital Collection. To request your research
guides and/or collection to be web archive, contact Ann Lally at alally@uw.edu. 

The main process of University of Washington web archiving can be broke down to:

Identification of collections to archive

Identify that web-archiving will be beneficial for the collection through examining
the following content criteria:
Is the collection of websites within the research guides about the same
topic?
Are information available without login?
Does content falls within fair use?
Entering collection metadata and adding seed URL(s)
Seed urls will be added by Ann Lally. The process of seed urls selection will be
determine by discussion with guides and/collection manager about what content is
valuable to capture.
Once the seed is ready for crawling, navigate to Archive-it "Add Seeds" option 
Paste in the relevant seed url(s) 
Schedule crawl for each new seed:
Crawl are scheduled monthly to ensure that the captures are manageable 
Review site crawl and perform editing to scope is necessary to capture the most complete
version of webpage
