Haven't you heard of Cristiano Ronaldo? He is a
Portuguese footballer considered one of the best
strikers in the world in soccer. In addition, he was
the one who received the titles and individual
distinctions obtained throughout his career at
Manchester United (2003-2009) and at Real
Madrid (since 2009), he had the honor of being the
footballer, who had earned the most money in a
club: in June 2009, that day the transfer to Real
Madrid cost the white club 94 million euros, up to
that moment the highest figure in history. Cristiano
Ronaldo, who is a player, was born in a working-class
neighborhood on the Portuguese island of Madeira, into a family of three brothers. Cristiano,
when he was very little, showed his exceptional aptitudes for soccer: at the age of eight he
played for the La Andorinha team, and at ten he was already competing for the two largest
teams on the island, the Marítimo and the Clube Deportivo Nacional; the player's father
decided that he should join the latter. There he progressed in a meteoric way, and at the age
of 16, after taking some tests, he joined that place called Sporting, which is a place, in Lisbon
and moved to live in the Portuguese capital. His beginnings were at the age of 8 when he
entered soccer school. This school called La Andorinha gave him the knowledge to begin to
stand out above his peers of his age. Such was the quality that Cristiano showed, that at the
age of 10 the C. S. Marítimo and C. D. Nacional clubs showed interest in having the young
player. Isn't that incredible? . After an agreement was reached, the player signed for C. D.
Nacional, in this place he continued with his training as a footballer and became one of the
greatest promise of Portuguese football. In 2001, that year he appeared for tests at Sporting
Clube de Portugal, where he passed each one in a satisfactory way and managed to be part
of one of the most popular clubs in Portugal, so he had to move to Lisbon . Why didn't he
play for a while? At that time, he was diagnosed with a heart problem and had to undergo an

operation, which was satisfactory and did not cause dangers in the player's football career. In
this year, CR7 recognized that after so much effort, his mind needs a break: “I have been
sacrificing myself for fifteen years, I have dedicated myself to my career. This day, I will
admire what I have done, but more what I will do: enjoy my friends, my family, watch my
children grow up and study. Savor the present. Convey my experience of life. But not for
now. I still have a lot to give ”.
