TASK A
1. It's hard to picture a world where computers weren't around. Recently, their use and
potential have expanded at an astonishing rate, and I expect this expansion to continue as
new and better ways to use them emerge. However, although there are certain drawbacks,
I believe the benefits exceed the liabilities.

It is possible to perform activities that were previously unimaginable, thanks to the power
of computers. As long as we have access to the internet, we can do everything from
banking to booking vacations to doing our grocery shopping. I'm confident that this
evolutionary trend will continue, given how quickly they've evolved and revolutionized the
way we do things. Virtual reality is an example of this. As a computer-based technology, it
is still in its infancy. We can already do beautiful things with it. It can be used in various
ways, from improving gaming to educating doctors and pilots for real-world scenarios.

Computers can improve everything we do as their processing capability grows.

Nevertheless, relying on computers to such an extent has its drawbacks. They regulate so
much of our daily lives that modern life as we know it is impossible without them. In
addition, our personal information is stored on computers, which makes us vulnerable to
fraud and other crimes because of the potential of hacking. But I believe that the
advancements in technology made possible by computers have made our planet a better
place in numerous ways. Most people, I suppose, would agree that computers' drawbacks
are exceeded by the advantages they have provided.

2. In the previous century, technology has significantly progressed and significantly. In

today's classrooms, this trend is visible. According to my own opinion, the role of a
traditional teacher will not be replaced by this new technology trend, even if some feel it
will. Analyzing teachers' ability to accommodate students' needs and motivate and discipline
them will demonstrate this.

It's generally agreed upon that the ability of students to select from among a variety of
explanations is critical for achieving comprehension goals. As an example, students'
assimilation levels vary. Thus, an experienced instructor must rephrase or simplify his
concepts to meet all students' needs. The computer-based teacher is not geared at that
distinctive human endeavor. On the other hand, these new technologies are not suitable for
eliminating human involvement in teaching.

In addition, the importance of motivation and discipline cannot be overstated. Working with
youngsters, in particular, necessitates using tactful methods to help them strengthen their
understanding and abilities. The computer-based course, on the other hand, is designed to
be implemented in a non-interactive manner. It is therefore impossible to substitute human
educators with advanced technology.

Though current technology significantly impacts our lives, I feel that the essential role
cannot be substituted or subtracted in favor of a computerized lifestyle. This is my opinion.
However, this equipment should be utilized to strengthen the position of the instructor in
the educational process.

TASK B

1. We have TED's Chris Anderson with Julian Assange, creator of WikiLeaks, the whistle-
blowing website that made news last month when it revealed the Afghan War Diaries, all
92,000 pages worth. During the 19-minute interview, Assange speaks a little more about
the ideology behind WikiLeaks, how the organization determines when to share information
(or not), how the site has affected world events, and what some more specific disclosures
look like.

This individual doesn't grasp the repercussions of his conduct. It is all about his ego. He
appreciates the attention being given him by those who don't realize how classified material
can be deadly to the sources and methods described within the paperwork.

Did you notice they only aired the section that identified the reporters and then the Apache
shooting on them? If you watch the complete video, you will see that the reporters are with
armed militants, there are AK-47's and one person with an RPG in a neighborhood, and
they are waiting to strike U.S. troops going their area.

I can't wait for someone to expose this guy as the slime he is. He is threatening military
personnel's lives in other nations and releasing information that is kept secret for a
purpose. If you remember, from grade school, we had people who did the same thing, and
what did we name them, a tattle-tale.

In the criminal world, a tattle-tale is a snitch or a rat. His organization is making it more
straightforward for people to distribute secret information without repercussion unlawfully,
and this video is effectively letting the world know he is open for business.

2. There are two things that Michio Kaku is passionate about in life: learning about the
physical rules of nature and predicting the future. His work as a theoretical physicist and
co-inventor of string field theory and his most recent book has led him to the latter. The
two interests are compatible as he describes cutting-edge scientists working in laboratories
throughout the world and gleans a vision of the future to the year 2100 from the
information they provide on their research and scientific expertise.

From the present to 2030, Dr. Kaku studies the future in eight subject areas and three-time
periods: Near Future, Midcentury, and Far Future. Predictions and examinations are made
in this book on the future technology of computers and artificial intelligence and the effects
of these technologies on human beings in a concluding chapter. To get a glimpse into
what's to come, he conducted conversations with over 300 of the world's leading experts.

As part of his interviews and trips to laboratories, Dr. Kaku ensured that all development
mentioned was consistent with the established laws of physics and that fundamental
alterations to these laws were not introduced.

Using these interviews, Dr. Kaku supports and enhances his hopeful picture of the future.
While most futurists are historians, sociologists, or science fiction writers who lack a
scientific education, the author is an insider in the science world and thus able to forecast
the future with greater accuracy. One of the most prevalent "futurist" errors is
underestimating the rate of scientific advancement. Acknowledging that he and the experts
he spoke with have their limits, he admits that predicting the future is a complex
undertaking that will always be hampered by uncertainty. His technique is to reduce the
issue by analyzing current scientific findings.

The author believes that one needs to comprehend the four fundamental laws of nature to
predict the future. Gravity, electromagnetism, and nuclear weak and strong forces are all
explained in simple terms by him. He goes into detail about the historical ramifications of
coming to grips with these principles. He builds on this understanding of basic scientific
knowledge to provide an engaging view of the research, inventions, machines, and
therapies that exist now or that he believes will redefine the world and our civilization over
the next 100 years and ultimately into the far distant future.
