Islam is `the religion of peace' because:
The Arabic word ‘Islam’ is derived from the Arabic word "Al-Salaam" which
means peace. The root word of Islam is "al-silm" which means "submission"
or "surrender." It is understood to mean "submission to Allah." In spite of
whatever noble intention has caused many Muslim to claim that Islam is
derived primarily from peace, this is not true. Allah says in the Qur'an
(translated):
Where consent has not been given by either With regards to freedom of choice

the bride or the groom, or is given only when marrying within their religion,

DOWRY
At the wedding, a Muslim husband typically gives a gift,
known as the Mahr or dower, to his wife. This type of
dowry, based on what was agreed upon by the couple,
could be in the form of any item and “in any amount”. An
example is a cantar or a “great amount” of gold. However,
the man can also marry a woman based on the amount of
knowledge he has about the Quran, even though he has no
material .

MODERN AGE
Roman Catholicism responded to the Scientific
Revolution, Enlightenment, and modernity’s push to
democracy first by closing its doors to the world, but then
by opening its windows.
Sacred Narratives
Roman Catholics hold the canon of Scriptures (both Old
and New Testaments) and tradition to be sacred. The living
transmission of divinely guided truth through Church teaching,
called the Magisterium, is held as authoritative.
SACRED SPACE
Cathedrals of great artistry and more modest churches serve worship spaces for
Roman Catholics, who believe that all the earth is holy as God’s handiwork and the
place of God’s Incarnation in Jesus Christ.
