It is never a bad idea to join a professional organization for medical technologists because the
purpose of conducting any professional organizations is to set ethical standard for practice
within the professionals and with that it will help one’s to grow and retain more knowledge
and skills. One of the most important benefits of joining a professional organization is that it
enhances one’s professional network. For anyone aspiring to climb the career ladder, building
professional relationship is crucial. Joining professional association enables one’s to connect
with peers. Connecting with peers , facilitate the sharing of ideas, keeping up with
developments in one’s profession as well as mentorship. Another benefits is professional
development and personal satisfaction , say for instance even if we initially join a healthcare
association to help us advance our career , a membership can fuel our eagerness to learn and
