UNIT-I
1. With the help of neat sketches explain the various acoustical
phenomenon which occur in an enclosed space 10

2. a) Differentiate between the ‘intensity of sound’ and ‘loudness

b) Show that if two unequal sound power levels are added, the
resultant is close to more powerful source 5
UNIT II
3. Define and give the solution, supplemented with proper sketches, to
avoid the following acoustical defects:

any one of the following

5. a) What are the different components of a sound system with
reference to electro acoustics? 5
b) Differentiate between Digital and Surround-sound system 5

6. Explain with the help of sketches the acoustical design criteria for
an open air theater 10
