Frequency Response of BJT Single Stage Amplifier:

Aim:
1. To show the Amplification of CE Amplifier.
2. To find the Bandwidth of Frequency Response of BJT Single Stage
Amplifier.
3. To find the Mid Band Gain of Frequency Response of BJT Single Stage
Amplifier.

Apparatus Required:
1. NPN Transistor
2. Resistors
3. Capacitors
4. Voltage Sources

Theory
1. For a transistor to act as an Amplifier it must be in Active Region.
2. Requirement of Biasing:
When we provide an AC signal to the DC source during the positive half
cycle it increases the voltage but during the negative half cycle it
decreases the voltage.so in order to maintain the it in active region
we have to make the biasing accordingly.
3. Bandwidth is the Range of the Frequency in which the Amplifier can
provide considerable Gain.
4. The Coupling Capacitors are responsible for the fall of gain at lower
frequencies.
5. The Stray/Parasitic capacitors are responsible for the fall of gain at
higher frequencies.
CE Amplifier Circuit:
CE Amplification Graph:

Initial Amplitude = 1mv

Amplitude after Amplification = 62mv

CE Amplifier Frequency Response Circuit:
CE Amplifier Frequency Response Mid Band Gain:

Mid Band Gain = 35.6 dB

CE Amplifier Frequency Response Lower Cutoff
Frequency:

F1 = Lower Cutoff Frequency = 393.6 Hz

CE Amplifier Frequency Response Higher Cutoff
Frequency:

F2 = Higher Cutoff Frequency = 620.1924 KHz

Bandwidth = F2-F1 = 619.7988 KHz.
