Dear All,

this is a summary of the meeting we hold earlier today 08-Nov-2021 about Electrical Power
Interfaces to existing plant at SWCC:

1. ETAP study (Load Flow Analysis) prepared by JV (SASEC) was presented during the
meeting to understand whether the existing LV electrical system at SWCC is able to
withstand the additional load for the GRS/GSP Project.
o Same Study (pdf printout) is herewith attached for SWCC review of the active /
spare loads to be considered / removed. Action by SWCC.
o According to JV (SASEC), 3323 A on Bus A and 3177 A on Bus B were calculated
considering all loads connected at 100% (incl. spares). It has to be noted that
Load Flow on Bus B is not updated according to the SWCC One Line Diagram.
o According to SWCC / Fitchner, the normal load for full operation is 1800 A,
with 900 A on Bus A and 900 A on Bus B.
o According to SWCC, 2100 A is considered to be the total maximum load
expected for both BUS (1050 A for Bus A and for Bus B).
o According to SWCC, the rated power of the TRAFO is 3400 A. This would lead
to an available capacity of (3400 A – 1050 A) = 2350 A per single Bus.
o It is agreed that, according to SWCC indications, the existing system is able to
withstand the additional load for the GRS/GSP Project, which is limited to 733
A (see attached summary).

2. JV (SASEC) presented the space constraints identified in the current layout, see
attached Layout markups.
o According to JV (SASEC) the 1250 A rated Air Circuit Breaker does not fit into
the dimension of the existing Dummy Panel.
o SWCC is required to check size of the dummy panel and check sizes of another
existing ACB 1000 A rated to confirm if they matches. Action by SWCC.
o Considering the space constraints of the existing “Dummy Panel”, the
possibility to install a 1000 A rated ACB shall be taken into consideration by JV,
since this would be enough to feed the GRS/GSP project requirements.
o Connection of the new ACB to the existing bus bar is to be address with LV
Switchgear Manufacturer. Action by JV (SASEC).
o SWCC to provide make, model and serial number of the existing ACB 1250 A
rated. Action by SWCC.

Please feel free to integrate the above as necessary.

Thanks, Regards,
Dear Mr. Aljuhani, AYESA Team,
thanks for your below messages and for having provided additional input on the Power Supply
Source from Fuel Oil Switchgear Building # 144 and Common Switchgear Building # 107.

We have reviewed your emails, the As-Built documentation received (ref. attached SLD) and
we came out with the following observation: the requirement to upgrade the existing MCC /
Low Voltage Switchgear could not be justified in relation to the technical features of the
existing upstream system.
The Transformers 01BFT33 / 01BFT34 would provide approx. 3600 A on the downstream bus-
bar A / B (4000 A rated). This may not be sufficient to supply the required additional spare of
2000 AF / 1250 AT for Bus-A and 2000 AF / 1250 AT for Bus-B.

Before we enter into the details of the design for such electrical interface (in particular for
the pre-assessed issues such as space constraints, depth constraints / alignment to dimension
of the existing switchgear, typology of interconnection to the existing bus-bar), we would
require SWCC / AYESA Team to elaborate on the above consideration.

For your information and for better understanding the above:

 Rule of thumb Trafo rated power = 2500 kVA / (1.73 * 0.400 kV) = 3608 A
 Expected Loads on a single Bus-bar = 1250 A (for 01BFA33-03) + 1250 A (for 01BFA33-
04 feeding GRS Project) + 1250 A (new spare to be added) + Load for MCC (ref.
01BFA33-05)
