Statement of Purpose

“Life is so unpredictable for those who live per others’ opinions. Self-Driven works to turn their
predictions into a REALITY”

Dear Graduate Admissions Committee,

Above is a thought I wrote lately as a part of my hobby, which I have always believed and followed in
all stages of my life. Success is a level of satisfaction as well as a motivation to do something more.
Living in this swiftly changing and advancing information era has always amazed and motivated me to
explore my skills by continuously learning the ever-changing technologies and thereby striving to
contribute effective solutions to this world.

From nursery to class 12, I completed my schooling at SV school Kadi, Gujarat teachers have not just
preached the importance of learning but sincerely encouraged us to collaborate with each other and
make the best use of all resources that we may find. My parents and teachers combined have played
a crucial role in developing a good moral of character. Thereby they always made sure of two things,
first are completing any assigned work with utmost excellence and second are try to serve humanity
in any possible way I can. As a result of which I opted Biology as a major and studied Physics, Chemistry,
and Biology; I do approach every problem and idea creatively and independently rather than just
regurgitate the book’s words.

Although I achieved excellent grades in all subjects in each and every semesters of B.Pharm, it was not
exciting. But what earned me the name in the years of my bachelors, was not my flying colored results,
in fact, it was my enthusiastic participation as an active member of NIPSA (Nirma Institute of Pharmacy
Students’ Association) a platform that provides opportunities in cultural, recreational and social
activities at my university level. I managed to get total sponsorship count of INR 80,000/- for NIPSA.
While serving the association as Marketing head (2019) and Sports and Social Media Head (2020), my
encouragement has been inclined towards organizing more of social events such as plantation drives,
blood donation camps, old clothes donation drive, old age home visits because we cumulatively
believed that being in medical field it is our sole duty to serve the society. I was also selected as
coordinator under “Earn while you Learn” scheme under Rotract club of Nirma University. I find
enormous joy and fulfilment in taking up duties, overseeing, persuading and critical thinking. I have
constantly utilized my capacity in building great connections, impacting individuals and
communicating my sentiments without being culpable.

During the third year, under the supplementary course named “Social Extension Activity” I got an
opportunity to visit various rural areas near the landscapes of university where we home schooled
kids since they couldn’t afford going to school, spreaded awareness about different communicable
diseases and importance of living a healthy life. It was this moment that made me realize that serving
mankind is not possible by simply sitting and discussing medicine with shut doors and without
acknowledging reality of the world. Taking into account of which, I raised fund from my batch and
delivered medical kits (consisting of antiseptic, bandages & gauzes, OTC pain killers) to one of the rural
area nearby my city. While studying in Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University which is ranked 1st in
Gujarat and 5th in India as the best Pharmacy Institute, according to the Ministry of Human Resource
Development (MHRD), my desire to pursue a career for the betterment of the people got heavily
reinforced.

I have read about the need for special expertise in the field of Regulatory affairs in drugs.I have done
and read my interest lies in the field of Masters in Regulatory Affairs - Drugs, Biologics and Devices
because of my experience at Nirma University. I believed both in my dream and myself and that has
brought me this far. I have the underlying foundation to transform into a contributor, but I still need
to build on this foundation and this requires education, experience and exposure, thus the search for
a graduate program giving me international exposure.

I assure the admission Committee that I will endeavour to surpass the expectations set for an incoming
student and uphold the noble ideals that have been the cornerstone of this hallowed institution; I look
forward to being part of this acclaimed university in September 2021.
